Beschrijving
Op veler verzoek is er een Braziliaanse ‘Yellow Bourbon’ terug in het assortiment van Blue’s. De Yellow Bourbon koffieboon komt van de oorspronkelijke koffiestruik met gele koffiebessen en staat bekend als uiterst gebalanceerde zoete/milde koffie met hinten van melkchocolade en karamel. Deze heerlijke koffie heeft een SCA-score van maar liefst 86,25 punten. 
With privileged natural conditions, fertile land and the right choice of coffee varieties allied to workers well trained and state-of-the-art facilities where coffee is carefully processed are some of the factors that contribute to the high quality of Carmo Estate coffees.
Al 150 jaar werkt de Junqueira familie in de koffieproductie, waarvan de laatste 30 jaar op de Carmo Estate, gelegen in de Mantiqueira Mountains in Sul de Minas.
Toewijding en aandacht voor detail zorgen ervoor dat op Carmo Estate de beste ‘natural’ koffies worden verbouwd. De Carmo Estate is lid van de Brazilian Specialty Coffee Association en heeft een UTZ Certification. Carmo Estate coffees volgt dus de strenge certificeringsregels en de familie helpt bij het beschermen van de omgeving. De farm biedt trainingen, gratis zorgverzekeringen en een eerlijk inkomen aan voor al haar werknemers.
In addition to the coffee planting and preparation areas, Carmo Estate has more than 30% of its land in native forest, with rich fauna and flora, besides springs and waterfalls properly protected. This ensures a much more balanced micro-climate and demonstrates the concern with the environment.
